creative understanding of the topic;
author's position;
personal vision of the problem and ways to solve it;
based on their own intellectual experience;
literacy;
uniqueness;
small volume;
openness.
The essay is based on fact, a fundamental theory. It's just that this type of task has a freer form of presentation, but this does not mean at all that it should not be supported by knowledge. Without this second component, the essay will turn into an essay on a free topic with edges of fantasy.
How to write an essay?
One of the important criteria is the volume of the text. It must be small. The concept is extensible - you say. And we will answer - no more than 10 pages. But, as a rule, 5-6 is enough, it all depends on the topic and, so to speak, the breadth of your thought.
The essay is written on selected research topic. But in relation to this particular direction, such a formulation is too serious. Do not forget that the essay is not limited exclusively to the scientific style, rather the opposite - it is, after all, originally a literary genre. Therefore, the problem is diluted with critical questions, some interesting situations, biographies, that is, it is revived.
